Websites are a great way to earn an income. I like websites because they are a business that runs 24/7, has low overheads (expenses) and infinite possibilities for income. According to statisics there are roughly 1.8 billion people on the internet. Your market is a lot larger with an online business.


I'm looking into both starting and also buying an online business myself. I've found websites for sale on places like Ebay, Flippa and DigitalPoint. There are plenty of websites for sale but from what I have found so far a lot of them are scams or aren't even profitable. There are some sites for sale that I don't even understand how they make money. I'm going to stay away from these and only look at websites that are established with consistant traffic and revenue and definitely do my due diligence.


The only type of sites I am interested in right now is unique content (information) websites. I like websites that have useful and timeless information that doesn't need updating. I don't really like blogs because the owner has to constantly update the content all the time otherwise traffic and earnings drops. It's hard enough for me to write posts for this personal blog of mine let alone another haha.


I like the idea of forums, image hosting and media sharing websites because content is provided by the users but I have nearly zero webmaster skills and I think I would need to learn to code/script to run a website like that.


So right now other than looking at other sites for sale I'm working on building my own website. It is about losing fat and building muscle to get the body you want. I know there is a million websites on the internet like this already but I plan to make it really simple with free information and pictures of my own progress so visitors can see my program works. It really is the only area other than investing I am passionate about so that's why I'm doing it.
